My Husband Doesn't Listen to Me...

Today he said, "The carpet is wet over here."

I said, "The washer overflowed, and it hasn't dried up yet."

He said, "There's a wet towel lying here! I bet it got the carpet wet!"

Okay, then.

I completely understand. Just today I was telling him what I wanted to eat. He then goes into the fridge and gets out some random food--when I question him he says he was getting something for us to eat and since I didn't specify what I wanted he was just going to pick something. I just looked @ him in silence and he responds--"well, you didn't!" We haven't been married a year! I hope it gets better.

I say "Honey, you need to please just commit to taking the trash out everyday, because for the last two days I have been having to put it out on the balcony." I do this because I have two small children and live on a second floor apartment so I can't leave them alone for that long to got hat far. He says okay, but I guess he must not have been listening because he opened the door to the Balcony and threw a fit accusing me of being well..."trashy" (no pun intended) for putting that out there. asking "don't you know we have neighbors." He never believes me that I did tell him anything, and that he wasn't listening. We have had pretty much constant issues since marriage 3 years ago.
