Idiots Annoy Me...
Vegans charged in infant death This has been all over facebook....and I think it's the most ignorant thing I've ever read. OBVIOUSLY it's nothing really about the parents being vegan....it's about medical neglect. They were told to take baby to the hospital after it's *9 months* checkup? It died at *11 months*.....and hadn't been to the hospital -or apparently the doctor- in the two months past. The baby died of medical neglect....and the parents are at fault. I don't care if they choose to graze in their front lawn for their food....their baby should have been taken to the hospital. Their eating practices have nothing to do with the fact that they neglected that baby. And they should be punished.

*Super* Moon?
Unless you've not been in contact with the outside world for the last week or so, you've no doubt heard about the so-called Super Moon, who was making his appearance last evening.
Somel people expressed disappointment that it wasn't as *Super* as they'd been expecting, given all the hype.
Others were amazed at it's beauty.
I was a bit on the disappointed side....first we had clouds, which blocked our view of the moon rising, which would have been the best time to see it looking larger. By the time the clouds cleared the moon looked like a lovely, full moon. I've seen them before. ;)
HOWEVER, another way to look at it's *Super-ness*......
Suppose we saw the *Super* as people going outside to look at the moon -on purpose-
Parents telling their children about it, and taking the time to sit and watch a moonrise with them.
A husband and wife who have been feeling at odds with one another who feel a bubbling of connection while waiting for the moon to rise.
Yes....I do believe it was a *Super* moon last night.
:)
(Picture is clickable, and will take you to a page that gives more scienific reasons for the moon's superness.)
Dogs and Bits of Food
I'm used to Oscar being beside me when I'm eating, and tonight I reached down with the last bite of sandwich for him....and something else was there....
;)
It was Schnitzel, and he, of course, wouldn't eat the bite of sandwich, but since he *did* sniff it, Oscar wouldn't eat it either.
They're such WIENERS! ;)
(Picture is when Schnitzel first came to live with us, getting his first bath at his new home. For future reference, Jan. 20, 2010)

Since when is torturing kids a good marketing campaign?
*Really?* THAT's all they could come up with?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ideas?"
"Well, we could have people being mean to their kids."
"Great idea! Let's go with that!"
"Okay, now on the important discussion: where are we going for lunch?"
"Hahahahaha"
*Group leaves for lunch*
